As drones become more popular and their uses accepted by more mainstream industries.  Pilots and developers are becoming in high demand.  Drones when used correctly have the ability to extend our reach and visual capabilities.

The Mavic 2 Pro is a drone that can do just that and more.  The Mavic 2 Pro is one of the Drones used in search and rescue to find missing persons, locate stranded individuals, and navigate areas of natural disaster for injured.

This drone is becoming a true workhorse in the search and rescue arena.  With 30 minutes of flight and hover time this drone provides great ground coverage in which to carry out searches.

Video Capabilities

The true strength of the Mavic 2 Pro is the onboard Hasselblad camera.  The camera format is 35mm to ensure great pictures every time.  The Hasselblad camera allows for Single shot, burst, auto exposure bracketing, and Interval shooting.

This is perfect for rescuers looking to grab Arial images with needed quality to determine someone in distress as opposed to something natural.  Taking pictures is great, but being able to see what the drone sees is critical.

The actual video resolution at 4K aides in covering a lot of ground by seeing accurately objects passed over.  If you see something of interest on the screen, you can quickly reroute and take a better look.  Switching to the single shot mode to get detailed images to review.

The video format is MP4 and the photo form at is jpeg allowing for quick sharing of video footage with others around.  When performing search and rescue operations time is of the essence.  Getting the information to the searchers in the field has to be quick and accurate.

This drone is able to reach areas faster and safer than the searchers can; thus sending back images, they can use to determine best options and places to look.  If the images show the subject, being looked for.  A plan can be worked out prior to the rescuers getting into place.

Final Thoughts

The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is a drone that will not let you down.  I give it a rating of 10 out of 10 and Amazon customers rate it 5 out of 5 stars.  This drone is well made and easy to fly.  You can program it to avoid obstacles which will come in handy for those tough terrain searches.

Drones have truly changed the way search and rescue is carried out.  With three total batteries in this bundle gives you the quick swap out you need to keep flying.  If the drone isn’t in the air you are losing valuable time.

Agencies and individuals can really benefit from the DJI Mavic 2 Pro.  Be sure to follow all our local and federal mandates and regulations when flying drones.  The Mavic 2 Pro is designed to provide professional quality at an affordable price.

Many agencies are purchasing multiples of these drones in order to widen their search capabilities.  Knowing the value in one drone is making many rescue departments look at purchasing two or three drones to allow for better grid search capabilities.

When time is critical, covering as much area as possible is the only answer to a positive outcome.  Multiple drones can provide this very important and efficient use of time.  Searching in multiple areas on a grid pattern can quickly point people to the correct locations to find the subject of the search.
